What You'll Be Doing
This position is responsible for the professional and operational leadership and management of a multidisciplinary team across Mental Health (MH) Inpatient services in Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD). The team includes Occupational Therapists, Diversional Therapists, Allied Health Assistants, Exercise Physiologists, and Dietitians. Your duties will include coordinating and providing accessible, equitable, and evidence‐based services; delivering direct clinical care to consumers and families; managing a clinical caseload; and enhancing service standards across the district.
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA, with at least 3 years full‐time equivalent postgraduate experience in inpatient services and/or mental health.
* Demonstrated professional and operational leadership experience in complex health settings.
* Strong clinical and advanced practice skills in Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, and clinical supervision.
* Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating service delivery, incorporating quality improvement processes and policy development.
* Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands, monitor performance, problem‐solve, and exercise independent professional judgement.
* High‐level communication skills (oral and written), including advocacy and negotiation.
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills, able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to travel as required, including long distances and overnight stays.
