Operations Manager / Senior Leadership - Defence Infrastructure
Location: Perth Metro (office-based north of the river, with site visits)

About the Role
We are seeking a senior leader from a Tier 1 construction background to take ownership of major Defence infrastructure projects across WA. This role could suit a Senior Project Manager, Project Director, or General Manager with experience in large-scale civil construction and Defence delivery.
You will lead multiple complex projects, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and team mentorship, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day operations across multiple large Defence infrastructure projects.
* Mentor and lead multidisciplinary project teams, promoting accountability, safety, and excellence.
* Develop operational strategies to drive efficiency, quality, and successful project outcomes.
* Manage risks, resources, budgets, and schedules across projects.
* Ensure full compliance with HSE, quality, and Defence regulatory requirements.
* Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships within Defence.
* Contribute to business development and tendering through operational insight.
* Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and industry best practices.
About You
* Proven experience in senior leadership (Senior Project Manager, Project Director, or GM) within Defence projects.
* Strong civil construction background, ideally within Tier 1 construction companies.
* 15+ years in project delivery or operational leadership; 7+ years on Defence infrastructure projects.
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience managing multi-million-dollar portfolios ($100M-$200M+).
* Eligible for NV1 Defence Security Clearance (essential).
* Full Australian working rights.
