About the opportunity
The Maintenance Serviceperson reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is part of the Maintenance team. The key focus of this role will be to complete or coordinate defect rectification work on our homes in line with our contractual requirements and quality standards.
* Complete general maintenance as per defect lists of new homes located across South Adelaide, ensuring quality
* Ensure van supplies are constantly stocked
* Compile a report on any identified defects
* Log work completed in software, ensuring effective communication with the wider team
* Communicate with clients to propose actions according to Service and Warranty guidelines
* Assist with monitoring of contractor progress
* Follow up on outstanding works from our trades and contractors as needed
* Assist with overflow jobs in the North to ensure jobs are completed within timeframes
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values: better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will have:
* A trade background, preferably painting, carpentry, tiling or similar experience
* Experience in maintenance/handyman, ideally within residential
* Strong customer service skills to communicate with clients and various teams to provide information and updates on maintenance works
* Competent computer and reporting skills
* Ability to prioritise effectively whilst ensuring exceptional attention to detail
* A full driver's licence to operate company service vehicle
* Willingness to travel to and from jobs as scheduled
* A positive attitude with the ability to work by yourself or within a team
