M.J. Bale is searching for a driven, commercially astute Store Business Manager to lead the charge at St Collins Lane.

St Collins Lane sits in the heart of Melbourne's luxury retail precinct. You'll lead a high-performing team in a store that blends ready-to-wear excellence with personalised service and premium styling experiences.
You'll own the commercial performance, people leadership, and client strategy of the store — while being supported by an ambitious and forward-thinking Head Office team.
What You'll Be Responsible For
* Commercial Leadership
o Own and drive store sales, KPIs, and profitability
o Develop local area marketing and B2B strategies
o Analyse performance data and implement growth plans
o Build a strong VIP and repeat client base
* Team Leadership & Culture
o Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team
o Drive accountability, coaching, and performance conversations
o Create a culture aligned with M.J. Bale's values and service standards
* Client Experience
o Deliver exceptional styling experiences
o Lead by example on the shop floor
o Build long-term client relationships
o Elevate the in-store journey through personalised service
* Operational Excellence
o Ensure visual merchandising standards are premium and consistent
o Manage stock integrity and shrinkage
o Oversee rostering aligned to peak trade and productivity

* Proven experience as a Store Manager / Business Manager in premium or luxury retail
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of exceeding targets
* Exceptional leadership and people development skills
* Confidence in clientelling and relationship-building
* Passion for menswear, tailoring and personal style
* A natural ability to balance strategy with hands-on leadership
