Production Officer Role

">
* Fixed term contract of 24 months, aligning with the duration of new capital projects.
* Opportunities for additional project work and on-call allowances outside regular working hours.
* Enterprise Agreement Level 9: A 35-hour workweek with a salary of $102,697.59 plus superannuation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the water industry as a practical problem solver with hands-on experience.

The role involves working in diverse and interesting environments at Sydney Water, operating and maintaining water treatment assets while meeting customer expectations and efficiency targets.

As a Production Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities to meet EPA environmental licence conditions and customer needs.

Working under the North West Hub Manager, you will make a significant impact by providing essential environmental protection and recycled water services to the community.

Key responsibilities include:

* Operating and maintaining plants in various conditions, adhering to health and safety protocols, quality management systems, incident response plans, and business continuity frameworks.
* Conducting daily water quality tests and adjusting process control parameters accordingly.
* Prioritizing maintenance and renewals tasks.
* Executing on-site process and asset checks using available systems and procedures.
* Managing onsite safety and works coordination through implementation of safety procedures, including Permit to Work, Lock Out Tag and Flow Isolation / Flow Management.

Required qualifications and skills include:

* Trade qualifications in electrician, instrumentation specialist, or mechanical fields, or equivalent qualifications in engineering or science.
* A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel across various locations within your hub.
* Ability to commit to rotating shifts, including day shifts, after-hours standby, and weekend roster.
* Experience in production or manufacturing within the water/wastewater industry (highly advantageous).
* Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
