About the Canungra Health Centre
Canungra Health Centre is located a short drive from the Gold Coast and on Kokoda Barracks. This is where officers and soldiers in the Australian Army Intelligence Corps complete their initial employment training, and all-corps training is conducted throughout officer and soldier careers. It was established in 1942 for Army jungle warfare and infantry training. It was closed from 1948 – 1954, however reactivated during the Vietnam War. Services provided include primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours of the centre are generally Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
What you'll do
* Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
* Occ Med environment
* Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
* Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care
* Provide medical advice to Defence health leadership
What you bring
* Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
* FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
* Minimum two years' GP experience in the last five years
* Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
* Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
* Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
Additional information:
* Provide Occupational Medicine services
* Civilian role – no enlistment required
* Part-time, full-time and after-hours opportunities available
