About the Role
Sync Lift Engineering are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in estimating mining equipment projects, including buckets, trays, bodies, and other heavy fabrication assets. This role is ideal for a technically minded professional who understands the full project lifecycle—from tendering and cost estimation through to delivery, customer liaison, quality, and on-site installation coordination.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end project management for mining equipment refurbishments, rebuilds, and new builds.
* Prepare accurate estimates, quotes, and scopes for tenders for a wide range of clients.
* Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and quality requirements.
* Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and supply teams to ensure project milestones are met.
* Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical assessments to support estimating and delivery.
* Oversee documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement across estimating processes and project execution.
About You
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in mining equipment, heavy fabrication, or similar mechanical project environments.
* Strong estimating experience, ideally with exposure to mining buckets, trays, and structural components.
* Solid understanding of fabrication processes, wear materials, cost drivers, and workshop operations.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
* Proficiency in project management tools and estimating software.
* A proactive, safety-focused mindset and strong attention to detail.
