Position Description

Sync Lift Engineering are currently recruiting for Shutdown HSE Advisors. Your role is crucial for maintaining operational continuity, delivering the HSE contract strategy, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. We are looking for motivated individuals for ongoing, diverse work commencing ASAP for projects starting in October and into 2026. Be a part of unique and exciting projects from Pit to Port.

About the Role

We are looking for an HSE professional to support our project team by ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Identifying, assessing, and monitoring project risks to maintain a proactive safety culture.
* Promoting a positive, safe, and sustainable workplace.
* Participating in pre-start meetings, risk assessments, and hazard identification processes.
* Ensuring compliance with safety policies, site procedures, and legislative requirements.
* Conducting HSE inspections, audits, and following up on corrective actions.
* Engaging in on-site activities to help mitigate risks and improve safety performance.
* Monitoring and achieving KPIs in line with the HSE Management System and client requirements.
* Managing incident and hazard reporting processes and overseeing corrective actions.
* Analysing project HSE performance data and providing recommendations for improvement.
* Driving HSE awareness, training, and compliance across the site.
* Coaching, mentoring, and guiding teams on best HSE practices.
* Supporting the site leadership team in fostering a strong safety culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* The flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
* A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
* 2-3 years of site-based HSE experience in the resourcing sector (preferred).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage teams effectively.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to multitask and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in using digital tools, including tablets, computers, apps, and HSE systems.
* Experience in leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
