Guest Service Officer
Park Hyatt Sydney is recruiting for a Guest Service Officer to join our Overnight Front Office team.
About the Role
In the role of Guest Service Officer you will be responsible for the guest's arrival and departure experience, reporting to the Duty Manager. This high‐profile role will allow you to develop your professional hospitality career within an international company, whether in Australia or overseas.
Main Responsibilities
* Verify that guests are receiving the best possible service during arrival and departure.
* Check arrival and departure details and arrange luggage handling, transportation and other services requested by guests.
* Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
* Accept room reservations accurately and efficiently and enter them into the computer system immediately.
* Assist the Night Manager with the Automatic Night Audit system and the production of balanced daily results.
* Handle cashiering functions.
* Work closely with other Front Office personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
Qualifications
* Good computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office.
* Ability to work under pressure and a positive, can‐do attitude.
* Diploma/certificate in Hospitality or Tourism Management is desirable.
* Knowledge of Opera is desirable.
* Comfortable working overnight hours in a full‐time capacity.
* Preferable prerequisite knowledge of the Travel/Hotel industry.
* At least 1 year experience in Front Office Operations and/or Night Audit experience.
