People Strategist Role
We are seeking a skilled People Strategist to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering operational excellence, employee engagement, and cultural alignment. This individual will blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on supporting frontline teams and driving best-in-class Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
* Champion a proactive safety culture across warehouse operations by partnering with leaders to ensure compliance with legislation, embed risk management practices, and promote wellbeing initiatives that support physical and mental health.
* Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition: Partner with leaders to forecast workforce needs and design talent strategies to deliver, oversee recruitment processes to attract and retain top talent.
* Onboarding & Induction: Develop and deliver onboarding programs that accelerate new team members' sense of belonging and productive performance.
* Performance & Capability Development: Support performance review cycles, goal setting, and development planning, and facilitate leadership and capability programs for high potential talent.
* Employee Engagement & Culture: Lead engagement surveys, action planning, and initiatives that foster a high-performance culture and a team-first mindset.
* Change Management & Organizational Development: Support business evolution, change initiatives, and workforce transitions, enabling smooth transformation and business continuity.
* Employee Relations & Compliance: Provide coaching and advice on employee relations, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum 5 years' experience in a People & Culture Advisor or Business Partnering role in warehousing or similar industries.
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
* A strong working knowledge of Victorian Health & Safety legislation, the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and National Employment Standards.
* Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence mid-senior stakeholders.
* Adaptive and resilient with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Commercially minded with a focus on delivering business value and commercial results.
