Mechanical fitter - crushing

Destec is a proudly Western Australian owned and operated company with a fast-growing client base, providing ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia. We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier One mining sites . We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our growing maintenance team on a FIFO mine site operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson with strong crushing maintenance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced mining environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently. About the Role Working on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off FIFO roster from Perth , you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing crushing and processing equipment to ensure maximum plant reliability and performance. Both casual employment and full-time contracts are available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Maintenance, repairs and inspections of crushing and screening equipment Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical issues Planned and breakdown maintenance activities Working safely and following site procedures at all times Completing maintenance documentation and reports Collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to minimise downtime About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification Strong experience working on fixed plant crushing equipment Exposure to mobile crushing equipment highly regarded Mining industry experience Ability to work both day and night shifts Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Commitment to safety and teamwork Current driver's licence Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening What's on Offer?
