About The Role
The role involves proactively managing a portfolio of customers, delivering outstanding customer service, understanding customer needs and managing a team of Fleet Managers to respond to customer fleet management requests. The Relationship Manager also seeks opportunities to maximise business renewal and organic growth.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintain strong customer relationships and understand client needs; regularly review customers' fleet for optimisation and cost reduction.
* Lead the team of Fleet Managers (if applicable) to manage the customer portfolio and provide professional fleet management.
* Capture all business potential of clients, maximizing renewal and margins through upselling additional products and services.
* Take ownership of issue resolution, ensuring contractual obligations and KPIs are measured, met and exceeded; serve as first point of escalation for customer issues.
* Conduct a structured customer visitation programme to foster productive relationships with key decision makers.
* Provide ongoing customer reporting and oversee preparation and delivery of customer reviews in line with SG Fleet standards.
* Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of SG Fleet systems and support training of the Fleet Management team in these systems.
* Build rapport and pursue revenue growth opportunities, including fee uprates, and maintain a "client strategy" document per client.
Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in a business‐related discipline (desirable).
* Experience building and maintaining relationships at senior corporate level.
* Effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
* Superior IT proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Strong numeracy skills, understanding complex finance/taxation concepts.
* Up‐to‐date understanding of Australian fleet management, FBT and salary packaging environment.
* Strong understanding of the car industry.
* Initiative, problem‐solving, patience, flexibility and cooperativeness.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Knowledge of fleet management products, services, systems and processes (ideal).
* Knowledge of industry legislative, compliance and regulatory obligations.
* Understanding of organisational systems and processes.
