We are on the hunt for a Senior Network Security and Firewall SME, combining deep technical expertise with outstanding customer support to design, deliver, and secure critical infrastructure. Based in Belconnen, ACT, this permanent full-time role offers hybrid work flexibility and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that matter.
As a key member of our delivery team, you'll take ownership of innovative network solutions that support complex, secure environments. Your work will be critical in ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and operational leadership to engineers to drive successful project outcomesCollaborate with Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and to specOwn and drive solution delivery, troubleshooting, and resolution of network issuesCreate and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and knowledge base content

What will make you successful in this role?
5+ years of experience in network security architecture, design, and implementationExpertise in Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto network security solutionsHands-on experience with Cisco/Aruba switches, routers, and wireless infrastructureExposure to AWS, Azure, and both Windows and Linux environmentsFamiliarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Essential Eight strategiesStrong knowledge of network protocols and cybersecurity best practicesExcellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feetStrong communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be working closely with both clients and internal teams
