We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join us. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start, working between our Port Pirie and Adelaide depots in a supportive and dynamic environment where safety, reliability, and quality are at the core of what we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel equipment and vehicles.
- Carry out routine maintenance on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, brakes, and related components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace worn and defective parts.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repair support when required.
- Conduct testing and inspections to ensure machinery and vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Keep detailed records of all work performed and maintain a tidy, organised workshop.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent), OR Certificate IV
- Minimum 2 years' proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy diesel systems and components.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Robust communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Valid driver's licence.
