About this Opportunity
This is a casual position available for an Allied Health Assistant to join our Early Intervention & Therapy Services team at our Warragul location. As part of this role, you will work under the guidance of experienced Allied Health professionals to deliver therapeutic and group program-related activities, including administrative duties, implementation of evidence-based interventions, and documenting intervention outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake a broad range of therapeutic and group program-related activities, including administrative tasks.
* Implement evidence-based interventions in a supportive environment.
* Document intervention results accurately.
Requirements
* A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or Tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health Profession are essential.
* Familiarity with common diagnoses, such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental delay, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy.
* Knowledge or experience in a similar setting and a genuine passion for working with children with disabilities and additional needs.
* An understanding of the expectations and limitations of the Allied Health Assistant role, in line with the Supervision and delegation framework for allied health assistants and the support workforce in disability document.
* Ability to work independently once instructed and demonstrated ability to operate within set standards and protocols.
* Demonstrated commitment to working as part of a cooperative and cohesive team.
* Able to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) in various settings with a wide range of people.
* Effective time management skills to complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner.
* Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.
* A current Victorian Drivers' Licence.
* The right to work in Australia, e.g., Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa holder with full working rights.
