What we are looking for:
Shalom College, Bundaberg seeks applications from suitably qualified established and aspiring leaders to undertake the middle leadership position of Head of Department - Humanities. This is a Middle Leader position commencing from January 2026, in conjunction with a permanent teaching role at the college.
We seek passionate leaders who will strive for excellence in teaching, administration, professional conduct, relationships with parents and the wider school community and a genuine interest for young people and their learning.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

Shalom College, Bundaberg is a Secondary Catholic College administered by Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton. Its 1500 students from Year 7 to 12 students are offered a diverse curriculum through a modern, well-equipped school with a wide range of co-curricular activities including instrumental music, choirs, interschool sport, retreats, camps and various clubs and societies.

* Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
