About Pacific Pickleball

Pacific Pickleball is the professional pickleball competition organiser in Australia and New Zealand. We operate PPA Tour, Major League Pickleball, and Minor League competitions across both countries - building the sport from grassroots all the way to pro. This is a rare opportunity to shape the marketing function of a rapidly growing sports organisation in Australia's fastest growing sport.

The Role

The Marketing Associate is the engine room of PPL's day-to-day content and social media presence. You'll handle execution across all platforms and entities - creating content, scheduling posts, managing communities, producing graphics and supporting event delivery. You'll report directly to the Marketing Director and play a hands‐on role at PPL events across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

* Manage and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok for all PPL entities
* Respond to enquiries and messages across platforms in a timely, brand‐appropriate manner
* Maintain Linktree and digital link infrastructure across all channels

Content Creation

* Film, edit and publish short‐form video content including Reels, event highlights and player features
* Capture and publish highlighted content on‐site at events
* Collect and escalate player and fan feedback as relevant

Graphic Design (Execution)

* Produce templated social assets, story graphics and event tiles using Canva
* Action sponsorship design deliverables using approved templates and brand guidelines

EDM & Communications

* Create and distribute EDMs via Mailchimp: event announcements, campaign sends and player communications

YouTube & Streaming Support

* Manage YouTube channel upkeep: video uploads, descriptions and thumbnails
* Create stream graphics, overlays and scheduling links for events
* Coordinate post‐production contractors for YouTube match cut‐ups and highlight reels

Paid Advertising (Support)

* Assist with ad creative uploads, scheduling boosts and basic performance reporting under Marketing Director direction

Website

* Perform basic website updates: event information, content, links and functionality checks

What We're Looking For

You are a creative, hands‐on content producer who loves sport, moves fast and takes pride in high‐quality output. You're comfortable behind a camera, in Canva and across social platforms - and you understand what it takes to build an audience.

Essential

* 1–3 years of experience in a social media, content or marketing coordinator role
* Strong content creation skills: short‐form video, Reels, graphics
* Proficiency in Canva and comfort with Mailchimp or similar EDM platforms
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* A genuine passion for sport and social media
* Ability to travel nationally & internationally as required

Desirable

* Experience filming and editing at live events
* Familiarity with YouTube channel management and basic streaming tools
* Knowledge of or interest in pickleball
