Operations Leadership Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of track mounted crushers and screens on client sites. Located in Western Australia, this role offers a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth or DIDO roster from surrounding towns.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure crushing targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) align with client contract terms and organisational safety protocols.
* Communicate daily objectives with crushing, maintenance, and contracting personnel to ensure alignment and effective task completion.
* Implement, maintain, and manage systematic routine maintenance and schedule preventative maintenance programs in conjunction with the Maintenance Superintendent.
* Monitor wear parts life (crusher and screen consumables) and report costs to the Project Manager monthly, adhering to contractual obligations.
* Assess and monitor Crushing equipment condition to guarantee plant mechanical soundness for efficient and safe operation.
* Source and procure crusher parts and consumables, tracking usage and cost.
* Report all faults and defects of plant promptly and without delay, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Authorise Crushing personnel timesheets, verifying accurate hours are recorded.
* Contribute to the training and development regime of MACA trainees, employees, and sub-contractors, identifying suitable growth opportunities.
* Manage personnel performance, providing constructive feedback to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
* Conduct annual performance reviews, offering constructive feedback, and identifying career paths and development plans.
* Review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) prior to shift commencement, verifying controls are in place, employees are trained, and actions are signed off.
* Personally inspect and monitor high-risk activities, ensuring effective controls are implemented.
* Report incidents and accidents to the Project Manager, conducting investigations as required.
* Oversee stock control of all materials and consumables, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Section 26 certification
* Five years' experience in previous Crushing leadership roles
* Comprehensive knowledge of safety systems and protocols
* Proven ability to lead teams safely, effectively, and efficiently
* Capacity to meet required KPIs
* Experience in shutdown preparations and fault troubleshooting
* Mentoring and coaching skills
* Highly motivated, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
