Here at Followmont we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a hard working, customer focused, self-driven operator to join our high performing PUD team on a Full Time basis. This [Full Time/Casual] will be part of a fast paced team environment focusing on building strong customer relationships through local freight deliveries and pickups.
The Job:
Flexible with working varied hours, including weekends and overtime with penalty rates [Start time and finish time]
Work to deliver high levels of service to our customers through effectively transporting general freight supporting the [Which Branch] community
Take responsibility for safely and securely loading and unloading a variety of freight with some manual handling of parcel freight
Completing daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork including pre-start checks as well as filling out run sheets, PODs and logbooks
Operate a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload general freight [Regional only] [Optional]
Qualifications
Hold a current MR license [and Forklift Ticket (LF)] with proven experience operating a Heavy Vehicle for a minimum of 2 years
A strong level of resilience and ability to problem solve coupled with the capability to work within a fast-paced, high pressure environment
Have a passion for going the extra mile to provide high level service to all our customers
Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, as well as a criminal history check if required
