Our client is one of the largest government departments, who is based in Perth's western Suburbs. Our client is seeking Multiple HR Advisors and Generalists to join an existing team for an initial 6-month contract. On offer is to work for an innovative, flexible and friendly department that will give you the opportunity to partner with a broad range of senior stakeholders.
To be successful for this role you will need to be locally Perth based with excellent communication skills and previous experience working in a transferable Human Resources function.
This position provides a comprehensive consultancy and advisory service to the Department's line managers and Executives regarding legislation, policies and procedures across a wide range of Human Resource (HR) matters.The position delivers a high-quality HR service with a focus on achieving outcomes for the Department and continuous improvement
SUMMARY OF ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Delivers a comprehensive consultancy and advisory service to managers and executive regarding a wide variety of HR matters including recruitment, workforce management, establishment, diversity, change management, performance, employee relations, occupational health & safety and redeployment & redundancy.
- Applies contemporary change management methodologies including assisting the business area to effectively plan and implement the change process, ensuring the reason for change is understood and stakeholders are appropriately identified and consulted.
- Correctly interprets, applies, and provides advise on relevant legislation, standards, awards/agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Works collaboratively and respectfully with team members, customers, and stakeholders to achieve integrated service provision.
- Investigates and resolves complex operational HR issues as they arise, escalating where appropriate.
- Coordinates the redeployment and redundancy process to meet legislative, policy and procedural requirements, and reduce the number of redeployees through active case management.
- Contributes to and support the development of policies, procedures, and the continuous improvement of practices.
- Exhibits accountability, professional integrity and respect consistent with the departments Values, the Code of Conduct, and the public sector Code of Ethics.
ESSENTIAL:
- Relevant human resource experience preferably in the delivery of a broad range of human resource services.
- Ability to effectively supervise a small team.
DESIRABLE:
- A qualification in a relevant field.
