Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts as an AI architect assigned to a client project.
- Assist clients in their journey to Microsoft Azure or leverage their existing investment in it, focusing on cloud architectural patterns and migration strategies.
- Play a key role in Avanade's sales process with responsibility for shaping the high‐level design, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals in collaboration with other subject matter experts.
- Act as a senior member of the Avanade technical community, providing coaching and mentoring to motivate and inspire more junior colleagues.
- Translate complex technical solutions into business outcomes and present them to business decision makers, marketing, and sales teams.
- Engage in early conversations with the client and/or sales team, support origination and deal qualification, and become the trusted advisor.
- Prepare and represent the solution in Deal Reviews and play an active role in oral presentations, client negotiations, and discussions with key client buyers.
- Complete pricing using standard solution architecture processes, methods, estimating, and modeling tools to drive quality and minimize time to solution while mitigating potential risks.
Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft; proficiency in Azure AI Services including Azure ML, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Bot Services; knowledge of similar services in other cloud platforms like AWS and GCP is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of different types of ML models, including large language models (LLM) and approaches to train or adapt to meet different customer requirements.
- Skill in programming with Python (must have), R, or .NET (highly regarded).
- Awareness of channels to market and how to work in a Microsoft and partner ecosystem to ensure customer success.
- High energy intent to help clients understand product and service evolution, including Azure Open AI, Fabric and Co‐Pilot.
- Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft funding processes such as ECIF, GTM solution plays / marketplace and GTM workshop offers.
- Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions, high‐level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs of work that involve platforming/replatforming data solutions within Azure cloud, utilizing tools such as Databricks and Fabric.
- Capability in creating design artifacts and presenting them for approval at architectural forums attended by multidisciplinary stakeholders from engineering to senior (C‐level) client executives.
- Experience in designing and delivering large‐scale enterprise‐grade AI solutions.
- Identifying and designing for key architectural characteristics such as performance, security, and reliability.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, or machine learning (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
- Extensive experience working with large complex enterprise accounts architecting cloud solutions for data estate workloads and implementing large‐scale data projects within the cloud environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence remote teams, ensuring successful implementation of customer projects.
- Enterprise‐scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management.
- * Australian citizenship is required, and candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance. (Existing security clearance is preferred but not mandatory)
