Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Lighting Auditor to join our team. As a Lighting Auditor, you will perform duties as assigned to complete process requirements of lighting surveys.
Responsibilities:
1. Accompany the team on site surveys to determine existing facility and lighting fixture conditions.
2. Function as the eyes of the company while performing lighting audits of facilities.
3. Accurately read labels, job site maps/directions, manuals, and written instructions.
4. Download and review all data collected during survey.
5. Assist with the preparation of Excel documentation for existing facility conditions based on existing lighting fixture lamp types and controls evaluated on-site.
6. Actively attend in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to lighting.
7. Must wear personnel protective equipment as required.
8. Must be able to work from all types of ladders.
9. Participate in industry organizations and attend events, meetings, and activities.
10. Hold ethics in lighting design to the highest standard.
11. Uphold the owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma and/or certification from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program.
2. Ability to operate computer programs and applications.
3. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format.
4. Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey.
5. Ability to access, evaluate, and report hazardous site conditions.
6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
7. Must be prompt and punctual to perform duties as assigned.
8. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
1. Electrical Apprentice.
2. OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification.
Travel Requirements:
1. A valid driver's license is required.
2. In- and out of state travel is required.
3. Travel should not exceed more than 50-60% of overall work time.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
1. Ability to walk five to six miles per day for multiple days while in the field.
2. Ability to grasp, hear, manipulate items with fingers, including electronic devices and keyboards.
3. Ability to lift and carry required equipment not exceeding 40 lbs for an extended period.
4. Ability to reach overhead extending arms with hands higher than the head.
5. Ability to balance, kneel, crawl, lift, push, reach, stoop, and climb.
6. Ability to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain or snow.
7. Ability to sit or stand at a desk for a prolonged amount of time while in the office.
