Paediatric Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist positions Starting January ****

Sense OT Pty Ltd is seeking awesome humans to join our team, who also happen to be a Paediatric OTs or Speech Pathologists with early years' clinical assessment and intervention experience to join our fun, dedicated, and experienced team in Chelsea Heights, Victoria. We are open to offering either full-time, part-time and/or Independent Contractor roles for the best-fit applicants. We are looking for some great team members to join us at our friendly and inviting paediatric clinics, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families, locally. Let's face it, with the recent travel changes to NDIS service provision, we value our onsite clinic and purpose-built facilities and therapy spaces for those who wish to come in and visit us. Sense OT is a multidisciplinary service provider and we provide in-clinic, mobile and telehealth services to preschool, primary and high school-aged children and young people.
What you'll be doing
Providing discipline-specific therapy assessment and intervention. Goal setting and regular goal-reviews.
Opportunities to provide Inclusive Education consultation and support Disability Inclusion Profile applications, recommending individualized adjustments with our partnering local schools.
Collaborating with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy support plans.
Utilizing evidence-based practices to support each child's development in a range of domains using a relationship-focused model of practice, strength-based approach, and including meaningful and play-based learnings.
The OT and Speech roles will include a variety of services including individual and small group therapy programs onsite (at Sense OT) or within our local partnering schools and kindergartens.
Maintaining timely and detailed client records specific to your practice discipline, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of our paediatric therapy services through regular in-house professional development and participating in case discussions.
Joining our fortnightly multidisciplinary team meetings to share your knowledge, grow your own professional skills, and discuss unique client cases with the team.
Engaging in internal and external clinical supervision as well as developing resources and programs with our team.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology.
Australian-based applicants with unrestricted work rights – ready to get started in the new year (Dates negotiable).
Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions to practice within your discipline (Occupational Therapy).
OT Australia or Speech Pathology Australia current memberships.
Working with children check (WWCC) – Employee Status.
Clear professional work history with no restrictions to work in your profession.
Experience and confidence working with children including early years, primary and high school-aged children.
Strong clinical skills in assessment, goal-setting, evidence-based interventions & punctual documentation.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.
Minimum 12 months full-time experience working within your discipline's therapy role with a paediatric caseload.
Desirable – Professional development completed in play-based or child-lead (e.g., DIR Floortime), strength-based, and/or neuro-affirming practice.
Available to start this January ****.
