Conference Producer - Content & Programming
The Role This role is central to delivering a high-quality national events program for a membership-based organisation, with a strong focus on content creation, research and speaker curation. As an Event Content Producer, you'll own the content development for a portfolio of events, ensuring each program is relevant, engaging and aligned with audience needs.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, advisory groups and senior subject‑matter experts to identify themes, topics and speakers, translating insights into compelling event programs. You'll collaborate with in‑house event managers to collaborate on event briefs and concepts, and be present onsite to support speakers and delivery. This is a unique events role that sits at the intersection of research, writing, stakeholder engagement and live event delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Create content for a portfolio of events, including themes, topics, learning outcomes and speaker line‑ups.
* Research audience needs, industry trends and contemporary issues to inform programming decisions.
* Identify, engage and manage speakers, including briefing and onsite support.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and advisory groups to co‑design event programs.
* Partner with event designers to shape event concepts and briefs.
* Support marketing teams with event messaging and communications.
* Review post‑event feedback and data to continuously improve content quality.
* Attend events onsite and support delivery, including select interstate travel.
The Candidate
* You're a content‑led events professional who enjoys research, writing and shaping ideas – and can confidently work with senior stakeholders and subject‑matter experts.
* 4+ years' experience in event management, content, programming, copywriting or association‑based roles.
* Strong research, writing and content development capability.
* Comfortable engaging with senior professionals and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
* Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple events at once.
* Collaborative, resilient and solutions‑focused.
* Experience with hybrid or content‑driven events is highly regarded.
Salary & Benefits
* $90K–$100K plus super.
* Hybrid working model (2–3 days in office minimum).
