We are seeking a detail‐oriented Technical Artworker & Machine Operator to join our team in Ipswich (IP1). This role involves producing technical artwork, communicating with customers worldwide, and operating CNC and laser‐engraving machinery.
Security Foiling, based in Ipswich, has been designing and manufacturing specialist document‐security equipment since 1987, supplying world‐leading hologram and foiling technologies that protect identities, revenue, and brands across more than 100 countries. With innovative solutions such as the MicroPOISE hologram applicator and Duogram optical security features, the company continues to grow, and we're excited to welcome new team members who want to be part of a small, dedicated team shaping the future of secure document production.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Artwork & Design
* Produce accurate artwork for CNC machining and laser engraving.
* Create marketing artwork for product promotion.
* Develop creative and eye catching designs that showcase security‐foiling technologies.
* Prepare clear and precise proof documents.
* Optimise artwork for production workflows.
* Customer Communication
* Liaise with customers globally to understand and interpret design requirements.
* Translate customer concepts into production‐ready artwork.
* Provide progress updates and ensure expectations are met.
Machine Operation
* Program, operate, and maintain CNC and laser‐engraving machines (full training provided).
* Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW.
* Logical thinker with strong problem‐solving ability.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Any experience in engineering, graphic design, manufacturing, sign making or the print industry would help you stand out from the crowd but are in no means essential.
Salary & Benefits
* £26,500 – £30,000 per year (depending on experience)
