Job description.
Workshop Technicians focus on core skill areas, including refrigeration (HVAC), Assembly, or Electrical. Their collective role is to apply technical skills and knowledge to assemble, service, and repair Stolway products in accordance with drawings, specifications, and scope provided by the Engineering Team.
They play a crucial role in ensuring that products are delivered to a high standard of quality, reliability, and safety, thereby supporting the smooth operation of the workshop and the broader production process.
Key Deliverables
* Assemble and/or repair products to meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
* Interpret and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
* Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with Stolway's standards.
* Identify and escalate any design, assembly, or safety issues to the Workshop Coordinator.
* Maintain workshop equipment and tools in safe and serviceable condition.
* Work collaboratively with other technicians and engineers to meet production deadlines.
* Adhere to all workplace safety standards and company policies.
* Assist in continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* Trade qualification or relevant technical training in Refrigeration/HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical Assembly.
* Hands-on experience in a workshop or production environment.
* Minimum 2-3 years hands-on experience in a workshop or production environment, preferably in refrigeration or HVAC systems.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of relevant industry safety standards (HVAC, electrical, mechanical).
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Forklift, EWP, or other workshop tickets (desirable but not essential).
* Construction Induction Training (White Card) required
* Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (essential)
* Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) required
* Restricted Electrical Licence or ARCtick licence for refrigeration work
* Legal right to work in Australia (essential)
