Perioperative Registered Nurse Role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. This role is based in our state-of-the-art theatres at Pimlico, where we are particularly looking for nurses with orthopaedic and general scrub/scout experience.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a member of our Perioperative Services department, you will be responsible for facilitating surgeons within the theatre setting, supporting and collaborating with the theatre team to provide excellent patient-centred care.
* Preparing patients for surgery, ensuring all documentation is completed.
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.
* Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital perioperative setting.
* At least 2 years' recent Scrub/Scout experience.
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential.
* Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
* A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to role model and promote Mater values.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels.
