Title and Summary

Director / Senior Managing Consultant - Strategy & Transformation (Financial Services) within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services leveraging expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to deliver strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams serve a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.

The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations : Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Strategy & Transformation consultants lead clients through impactful decision-making to address strategic, tactical, operational, and transformational challenges, applying a broad set of problem-solving techniques to enhance strategy, performance, and operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

A Senior Managing Consultant will lead client engagements focused on Card Issuing, which may involve consulting or data and analytics-driven projects.

Client Impact

* Lead project delivery teams providing insights and solutions to support clients in building, deploying, growing, and optimizing products driven by disbursement capabilities and digital payment rails.
* Identify creative and efficient solutions, guiding teams towards business-focused recommendations that drive client value.
* Develop strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data and technology to unlock value.
* Manage senior client relationships from mid-level to C-suite to ensure commercial success.
* Engage proactively on client agendas, internal culture, and relationship risks.
* Serve as a trusted advisor and generate enthusiasm for Mastercard's offerings.
* Guide teams through complex problem solving to deliver business-focused solutions.
* Motivate teams to produce high-quality deliverables and foster an inclusive environment.
* Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to scope projects and develop relevant solutions.
* Mentor and coach junior team members.
* Contribute to Mastercard's knowledge management and best practices.

Qualifications

* Experience with launching or scaling cards and digital payment products, including managing product launches and key partnerships.
* Knowledge of the card issuing landscape, retail banking, or transaction banking.
* Strong problem-solving skills, leading teams to business-focused solutions.
* Analytic skills and structured problem-solving aptitude.
* Interest in project delivery and decision-making processes.
* Ability to inspire client confidence and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
* Commercial awareness and ability to identify cross-sell opportunities.
* Leadership qualities to instill ownership and motivation.
* Diverse perspective and approach.
* Undergraduate or master's degree.
* Willingness to travel and communicate complex ideas effectively.
