Key responsibilities
* Examine patients and take medical histories
* Diagnose illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
* Prescribe medications and treatments
* Perform minor surgical procedures and medical interventions
* Provide emergency and urgent medical care
* Monitor patient progress and treatment outcomes
* Refer patients to medical specialists when required
* Administer vaccinations and immunizations
* Conduct health screenings and preventive care assessments
* Counsel patients on health, lifestyle, and disease prevention
* Maintain accurate patient medical records
* Complete medical certificates and statutory reports
Requirements
* Registration with AHPRA
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience as a GP
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
* Understanding of Medicare and Australian healthcare system preferred
