The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working Operator Maintainer to join our team in the position at our Dongara plant.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Dongara, the Operator Maintainer will be responsible for ensuring the plans, objectives and site requirements are met to ensure that the plant and equipment is operated at its highest availability, safely and without environmental impact.

This position forms part of a continuous shift roster with 2 nights, 2 days and 4 days off.
Responsibilities
* Deliver mechanical maintenance services on site
* Maintaining the production of quicklime through continuing monitoring of the process
* Sampling and testing the finished product to achieve specific targets plus maintenance
* Inspection, lubrication, trouble shooting and modifications to all mechanical and electrical equipment
* Implement and carry out routine preventative maintenance
* Adhere to health, safety and environmental practices and policies
What you will need to succeed
* Trade qualification as a mechanical fitter (experience with boiler making and welding will be highly regarded)
* Experience as a fitter in a heavy industry setting delivering and managing maintenance activities
* Demonstrated experience in managing and mitigating workplace risks
* A willingness to work autonomously and proactively whilst achieving team based goals
* A good understanding of basic computer systems
* An eye for finding improvements in the workplace
* Creative problem solving skills with the tenacity and resilience to implement solutions
