A Snapshot of Your Day
As an NDT Technician, your day involves conducting specialized non‑destructive tests across various industrial environments, particularly on large Steam and Gas Turbines. You will work closely with site teams, perform equipment setup and calibration, execute inspections, interpret results, and maintain high safety compliance. The role includes both field and workshop work, often requiring travel within Australia and the region.
How You'll Make an Impact
* Perform non‑destructive testing using UT, RT, MT, PT, and ET methods across utility‑scale equipment.
* Analyze and interpret data to identify cracks, corrosion, and weld defects in line with industry codes and standards.
* Calibrate and maintain advanced NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
* Produce detailed technical documentation, drawings interpretation, and inspection reports supporting field service operations.
* Ensure strict compliance with health and safety protocols, particularly when working with ionizing radiation and hazardous environments.
* Support national and regional field service activities through mobility, collaboration, and adoption of OEM‑specific procedures.
What You Bring
* Level II certification (ASNT, ISO 9712, EN4179 or similar) in one or more NDT methods, enabling independent work.
* Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Metallurgy, or related fields; vocational qualifications also valued.
* 2–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial NDT environments.
* Ability to read complex engineering drawings and prior exposure to large Steam and Gas Turbines.
* Strong physical capability to work at heights, confined spaces, outdoors, and during extended standing or lifting.
* Growth mindset, willingness to travel, and readiness to learn OEM specific techniques and expand industry networks.
