Legal Assistant - Property & Development
We are seeking to appoint a Legal Assistant to join our Property & Development team in Melbourne.
This role will suit someone who is highly motivated, proactive and committed to delivering exceptional support. The successful applicant will possess a minimum of 2-3 years' experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Matter and file management including opening and closing matters, conflict checks, client engagements and maintaining daily electronic and physical filing.
Prepare, format, and amend documents and correspondence using precedents.
Proactive diary and inbox management of lawyers.
Conducting ASIC, PPSR, title and instrument searches, and obtaining property certificates.
Liaising with clients and stakeholders to build strong working relationships.
Printing, filing and general administrative support.
Monthly billing, invoicing and client reporting.
Backup support and assistance within team.
Skills/Knowledge
Accurate typing and proofreading skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Professional telephone manner and the ability to field calls where appropriate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and administrative ability.
Proficient in MS Office suite. Exposure to a document management system e.g. iManage / Caseflow / Aderant is preferred.
Familiarity with PEXA and SPEAR highly regarded.
