About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Chef Manager who is passionate and motivated and can deliver quality culinary skills to lead our team at Bloom. You will work within an inclusive and supportive team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Carers, General Practitioners, Allied Health professionals, residents and their families to deliver high quality food and dining experiences to the residents at Bloom.
Responsibilities
Deliver high quality food and dining experiences; lead and manage a food services team; develop menu plans; manage a budget; implement food safety plans; support continuous improvement and person-centred approach.
About You
You are a qualified Chef with a broad range of experience and skills within the fine dining industry through to the dynamic aged care environment. Your leadership in managing a food services team, developing menu plans, managing a budget, and implementing food safety plans of the highest quality will be valued. You have an ongoing learning and continuous improvement philosophy, and you have a person-centred approach. You are enthusiastic and dedicated to making a difference.
Requirements
* Current trade and food safety supervisor qualifications
* Thorough knowledge of catering principles and their application
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a catering team
* Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work within OH&S and continuous improvement environment
* Created your own menus to a set budget and understand the importance of costings; have good relationships with industry suppliers
* Ability to manage textured and modified diets according to dietician and clinical requirements
* A positive can‑do attitude
* Police check within 12 months
