Our organization requires a reliable Chip Truck Operator to transport wood chips from infield chipping sites to the Port of Portland efficiently and safely.
* Collect woodchips infield and deliver to the designated drop-off point
* Complete necessary documentation, including accurate recording and reporting
* Prevent deficiencies in delivery to meet our high standards
* Take care of company vehicles and equipment under your control
* Maintain safety, fatigue, National Heavy Vehicle Regulations, and organizational guidelines
To succeed in this role, you must have a valid MC or HC licence with the ability to upgrade to MC, experience operating chip trucks (preferred), knowledge of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards, Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards. You will also need the ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution and work well within a small team environment. Additionally, you should be committed to safety in the workplace and adhere to 100% Chain of Responsibility compliance.
