Who we are looking For
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic apprentice who to work as part of our workshop team.
You will be inquisitive by nature and use the skills you are taught to find solutions to electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
A demonstrated interest in learning a trade and strong marks in Design Technology will be viewed favourably. At a minimum, you will have a pass in Maths, and English
You must be willing and able to learn, show initiative to take on new tasks and develop their skills to become a valuable member of the service team.
Overall, you'll need to have a genuine commitment to completing the apprenticeship, your own transport to get to and from work, and be you must be well presented & punctual.
What will you be doing?
This is a Full Time position, working 40 hours a week and some occasional overtime.
The successful applicant will be assisting trades people with testing, repairs and planned maintenance on workshop machinery.
You'll learn how to read, interpret, follow instructions and communicate information using common mechanical engineering terminology, diagrams and symbols.
You will develop an enviable skill set including detailed assembly, repair and fault finding of machine tools as well a broader set of skills in mechanical and hydraulic fitting.
At the completion all the relevant on-the-job and TAFE training you'll be eligible for a trade certification.
