Account Resolution Officer
Key Responsibilities :
Provide and maintain a revenue collection service by efficiently and effectively collecting outstanding debt in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, guidelines, procedures, and work instructions.Use well-developed skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication to resolve accounts with outstanding arrears.
Assess cases of financial hardship, establish payment plans, and where necessary, progress matters through legal action or sale of land / valueless land / voluntary transfer processes to bring accounts into order.
Ensure all work complies with statutory obligations, public sector ethical standards, and Redland City Council (RCC) codes of conduct and values.
Support and contribute to customer service that aligns with the RCC Customer Charter and uphold safe work practices as detailed in Workplace Health and Safety procedures.
Register and maintain accurate corporate / business documentation, including emails, into relevant recordkeeping systems in accordance with approved policy and procedures.
About You :
Demonstrated experience in debt recovery, account resolution, or financial administration within a government or corporate environment.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex account matters while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Sound understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Information Privacy Act **** and local government procedures.
High level of attention to detail competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Intermediate skills in MS Office and experience using financial or customer management systems.
