About the Centre Digital and Campus Services (DCS) provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs. About the Opportunity We are seeking applications for an ongoing, full-time position within the Digital Support Team. The Digital Support Team is instrumental in providing prompt and customer centric technical support to students and staff of ECU, via eLab counters and visiting teaching spaces and staff offices. The working hours extend from 6:45am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Staff may be asked to work different shifts according to a roster on both the Joondalup and Mount Lawley Campuses. Any working from home arrangement will be determined by operational requirements. About you As the Senior Desktop Fleet Officer, you are accountable to: Timely provision of end user hardware to the University through the ordering of devices, receiving goods from suppliers and facilitating their supply to customers in accordance with ECU related policies. Manage the secure disposal and return of end user devices in accordance with ECU related policies. Advise customers and other staff within DCS on relevant processes (e.g. asset management and disposal procedures, tracking and record keeping) and recommend improvements to the processes. Establish and contribute to the development of knowledge and instructions enabling consistent and optimal delivery of services. Assist in the delivery of other Fleet team activities as needed, to assist the broader team in delivering its services. Responsible for the protection of University data and systems through adherence to published policy, standard and process documents; immediately reporting any suspected breaches, vulnerabilities or other security issues to the Information Security Team, while also providing input into any improvement opportunities to mitigate any future risks. Key Criteria: Industry experience in inventory management, key aspects of technology device lifecycle management, and in IT customer service roles. Knowledge of end user computer hardware and Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows and Apple MacOS). Well-developed customer service skills in achieving quality outcomes for all parties. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Problem solving and decision-making skills. Formal technical education and qualifications would be highly regarded.
