Principal – Transmission Line Engineer
We are shaping the energy transition journey to net-zero carbon emissions by delivering innovative technical solutions to our clients in high voltage power generation, transmission, and distribution.
The Opportunity
You will be working on some of Australia's largest transmission projects, helping shape the transmission backbone of the network and opening up renewable energy zones. You will also be playing an important role in mentoring and developing junior team members within a dynamic, supportive, and flexible environment.
In this Melbourne or Sydney based role, you will:
1. Be the technical leader for transmission line engineering projects
2. Work closely with clients to understand their project brief and technical requirements
3. Formulate design solutions for transmission projects from 66kV to 500kV
4. Implement innovative solutions proactively
5. Be a mentor to the wider transmission design team
What We're Looking For
You have solid fundamentals in your technical skills, proven through the delivery of robust and innovative power engineering designs. You are comfortable leading design teams and have a passion for coaching and mentoring emerging engineers.
This will be combined with your in-depth understanding of various engineering disciplines, regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as your project management implementation capabilities and experience in integration for complex systems.
Knowledge and experience in PLS-CADD or TOWER is required.
