Airport Leadership Position
Swissport is seeking a dedicated Airport Station Manager to lead our team at Canberra Airport. This pivotal role entails spearheading continuous development initiatives to enhance business and operational performance, while cultivating resilient teams with a proactive mindset.
Your Responsibilities:
* Create a positive safety culture across the ground handling organization that includes strong safety reporting and a Just Culture.
* Drive collaboration across the operation to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
* Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team.
* Deploy data and research to drive corporate prioritization.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.
* Form and lead internal leaders, providing training and mentorship as needed.
* Directly and indirectly manage staff to enhance professional development and personal growth.
* Manage relationships with key clients.
* Ensure airports meet performance requirements and maintain operational integrity.
About You:
- Demonstrated achievement in managing and leading a large team, including direct leadership experience in an aviation ground handling environment with a workforce of 50 or more people.
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced, safety-focused service operation, managing multiple clients with divergent requirements.
- Experience working as part of a business unit leadership team, contributing to strategy delivery, change management, and performance improvement activities.
- Strong commercial experience, relationship-building, and negotiating skills, with strategic management capability.
- In-depth industry knowledge, trends, and developments for strategic business success.
