Position Overview
Millies Fish & Chips is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Cook to support daily kitchen operations at our Paradise Point location. This role is suited to a professional Cook who can work efficiently in a high-volume food service environment while maintaining strict quality and food safety standards.
Key Duties
* Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items in line with business standards
* Coordinate food preparation tasks to ensure efficient service delivery
* Monitor food quality, cooking times, and portion consistency
* Maintain food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance at all times
* Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory management
* Reduce food wastage through effective preparation and planning
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and food preparation areas
* Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Required Skills
* Strong practical cooking skills in a commercial kitchen environment
* Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
* Knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and safety regulations
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
Experience
* Minimum of two (2) years full-time relevant experience OR equivalent
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher (or equivalent qualification)
