About this role
The Family Violence Mental Health Practitioner provides therapeutic support to clients involved with family violence services who experience poor mental health.
This is a critical position within our organisation, requiring a high level of skill and expertise in mental health, AOD and trauma-informed approaches. If you are passionate about delivering culturally safe and effective services to Aboriginal communities, we encourage you to apply.
Key responsibilities:
* Comprehensive assessment of client needs
* Linkages with mental health resources and support
* Education and secondary consultation on mental health, AOD and trauma
* Case management from initial intake to closure
About you:
* Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures
* Strong knowledge in mental health, AOD, trauma-informed approaches and culturally safe interventions
* Demonstrated experience in service development and improvement
