The Maitland Hospital, opened in January 2022, is a modern hospital designed to meet the growing health service needs for Maitland and the surrounding communities of the Hunter Valley.

The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including maternity, gynaecology, paediatrics, and special care nursery, medical service, and rehabilitation, surgery, orthopaedics, and day surgery.
SRMOs working at The Maitland Hospital will be working in the General Medicine, Cardiology, Rehab/Geriatrics, Oncology, ICU, and Emergency Departments.

Belmont District Hospital is located within the beautiful area of Lake Macquarie, offering Emergency Department, Medical, Surgical, Sub-Acute, CCU, Operating Theatres, Outpatient clinics, Imaging, Pathology, and Children treatment services.
SRMOs working at Belmont Hospital will be working in General Medicine and Emergency Department.
John Hunter Hospital is a major teaching hospital and is the Primary Tertiary Referral Centre for Trauma in northern NSW, covering all surgical specialties, including Cardiothoracic.
What You'll Be Doing
The Senior Resident Medical Officer (SRMO) role is a key medical team member who will be working closely with a team of Specialists, Fellows, Registrars, and Residents in a variety of acute terms.
This network role provides extensive hands-on experience in a broad range of specialties with excellent training.
Applicants must have an MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia, and a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or services, is required.
Evidence of commitment to self-education and continued professional development with experience in teaching is also necessary.
