Remuneration: $110,527 - $121,227 pa HEW Level 7 (plus 17% employer superannuation)
Key Responsibilities
* Amplify the discoverability of Monash University Library resources
* Guide inclusive and reparative metadata practice
* Embrace continuous learning, leadership, and strategic application of new technologies
* Lead and support a specialist team delivering core metadata services
* Sustain and progress initiatives that support the creation, reuse, sharing, and management of metadata
* Maintain and enhance workflows that support access to all Library collections, physical and electronic
* Collaborate across teams to review and improve processes for efficiency, sustainability, and ease of user access
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
Qualifications & Experience
You will have demonstrated experience in library metadata services along with strong knowledge of library systems and technologies. You will have current knowledge of resource description standards, tools, and inclusive and reparative metadata practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and collaborative environment. Your ability to build relationships, maintain effective workflows, apply technical knowledge, and lead and engage will complement your performance in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and sustainable metadata practices to ensure Library collections are well‐managed, accessible, and aligned to the University's teaching, learning, and research priorities.
