About the Role
Working closely with the Director of Nursing, the DDON will support the clinical, operational, and people‑management functions of the home. The facility serves 158 residents, and the successful DDON will be based at Hillview House, 45 Hillview St, Woy Woy NSW 2256, working 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the DON with planning, organising, directing, and managing clinical services.
* Support the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents.
* Demonstrate experience in clinical education, coaching, and staff development.
* Provide leadership and guidance to nursing teams.
* Assist with clinical governance, accreditation preparation, and continuous improvement activities.
* Support workforce capability, performance, and engagement.
* Contribute to budget management while maintaining resident care standards.
About You
* Current registration and licence to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (essential).
* Experience in aged care in a leadership or senior clinical role (desirable).
* Candidates new to aged care leadership are welcome.
* Demonstrated leadership capability (DDON experience highly regarded but not essential).
* Strong communication, organisational and people‑management skills.
* Demonstrated experience in clinical education, coaching, and staff development.
* A collaborative, calm and solutions‑focused approach.
* A genuine desire to grow, learn, and progress into senior leadership.
* Able to provide direction and motivate a multi‑disciplinary team with a passion to deliver exceptional care and service to the elderly.
* Ability to ensure that all clinical staff comply with code of ethics and legal requirements.
