About the opportunity
The Deputy Manager, Transactional Services plays a pivotal role in driving the effective, efficient and compliant management of revenue across HealthShare NSW. This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced manager who can oversee high‐volume billing, receipting and debt recovery operations while ensuring excellence in service delivery and alignment with NSW Health and HealthShare NSW guidelines.

In this influential role, you will be responsible for coordinating the operational performance of the Patient Billing, Receipting and Debt Recovery Teams, ensuring revenue activities are delivered accurately, on time and to required quality standards. You will also act as the central authority for information, coordination and costing of Medicare Ineligible Patients—an area requiring sound judgement, accuracy and the ability to interpret legislation and policy.

As a critical link between frontline transactional teams, the Manager and senior stakeholders, you will provide advice, operational leadership and continuity across multiple sites. You will shape and implement business models, support continuous improvement, and contribute to initiatives that optimise cash flow, mitigate risk and strengthen compliance. Your work will have impact across the organisation, enhancing the financial sustainability of hospital services related to patient care.

This opportunity is ideal for a strong people‐leader who thrives in a dynamic, high‐volume environment and brings expertise in revenue operations, stakeholder management and service improvement. You will lead, coach and support geographically dispersed staff and be trusted to represent the Manager as required, ensuring seamless operational continuity.

With significant interaction across hospital departments, clinicians, health funds, Medicare, auditors and NSW Health stakeholders, this role offers a unique platform to influence systems, processes and outcomes that directly support improved patient‐related revenue streams.
