The Role We are looking for a qualified Leading Hand Radio Technician to safely and effectively perform planned and breakdown maintenance tasks by working within a team and promoting site safety standards ensuring the highest standards of work are conducted and maintained.Reporting to the Communications Supervisor, you will have the ability to make decisions, work to meet deadlines and exceptional communication skills.
The roster for this role is 7 on 7 off day Shift.
Responsibilities Assist the Supervisor by acting in a leadership capacity for the crew including, acting as the supervisor when supervisor is absentPotential improvements to work practices and conditionsProvide feedback to the Supervisor on a regular basisTo assist in achieving budgeted development and production KPIs by performing varied tasks.Installing and the maintenance of the communications systems to site and Australian StandardsWorking both independently and as part of a team whilst demonstrating a high standard of professional workmanshipMaintaining installation and maintenance records Qualifications Trade qualified Radio TechnicianMining experience is preferred but not essentialExperience with Telephone, Optic Fibre, Radio RF/HF, Miri, PED, Networking and impact collision avoidance systemsExperience with Automated machinesExcellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skillsFlexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detailGood time management skills and able to work well under pressureDemonstrated ability to work well in a team environmentGood communication skillsWillingness and ability to learn new processesHold a current Australian Manual Drivers LicenceExperience in SAP would be an advantage or similar systemExperience in Excel would be an advantage Benefits $10k sign on bonus (subject to eligibility)Competitive Remuneration packaged with 12% superannuationPaid relocation inclusive of 12 weeks furnished transit accommodationBenefits program including discounts with Health Insurance providers and Recognition and Reward programsFantastic professional development opportunities with Professional External Education Assistance, leadership development programs, ambassador Programs and more; and unrivalled career opportunities.
