About the role
Tetris Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe/Fitter to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. As a Pipe/Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial piping systems. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within our dynamic organisation.
What you'll be doing
* Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to plan and execute pipe fitting and welding tasks
* Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and related materials to industry standards
* Perform welding and fabrication tasks to join pipes and fittings, following appropriate safety protocols
* Trade qualification in welding is required for this position
* Inspect and test completed pipe systems to ensure proper function and compliance with regulations
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation or maintenance
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all health and safety procedures
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Pipe/Fitter, preferably in the Trades & Services industry
* Minimum of 3-5 years of pipe fitting experience is required
* Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, welding, and industry best practices
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to tackle complex challenges
* Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
* Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
* Australian work rights are required for this position
