As a cornerstone of the Armidale community and a destination for discerning travelers, we are now seeking an experienced and visionary Hotel General Manager to lead our dynamic team.
The Role:
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success and smooth operation of Tattersalls Hotel Armidale. Reporting directly to the business directors, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, from guest experience and staff leadership to financial performance and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all hotel departments to deliver a premium guest experience
Drive operational efficiency and uphold the hotel’s luxury standards
Collaborate with the business director to shape and execute strategic goals
Manage budgets, financial reports, and cost controls to ensure profitability
Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and staff
Monitor customer satisfaction and manage feedback to maintain reputation excellence
Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and hospitality regulations
Oversee marketing and sales initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team
About You:
Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role in a 4 or 5 star hotel
Have licensee and advanced licensee qualifications
Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
A passion for hospitality and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences
Ability to balance hands-on operational oversight with high-level strategic thinking
Experience working with or reporting to ownership or directors is highly desirable
Knowledge of regional tourism and local networks in New England would be advantageous
