RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

Job Title: Media Producer

About the Role

This is an ongoing, full-time position at 40 hours per week within the Creative Services team in the Communications Department.

Work with the Creative Services team, communications experts, world‐leading clinicians and people with lived experience to devise and create video and audio communications that are insightful, engaging and actionable.

You are a confident communicator and storyteller, knowing how to maximise the impact of carefully chosen language, images and interview to create understanding and motivate people to action.

Classification for this position is CL6-CL9 (base salary $90,235.60 - $103,724.40 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation plus salary packaging)

What you'll achieve:

* Develop and plan concepts that meet communications objectives within time and budget constraints.
* Capture and edit high quality video and audio to a broadcast standard using professional camera and sound equipment.
* Portray the RCH and the people we care for ethically and sensitively.

Your skills and experience:

* A Diploma or Degree in Screen or Media Production, Film and Television or equivalent.
* 3 or more years of practice in film and television production, advertising production, corporate, educational or in‐house video production.
* Proficiency in professional video production workflows including ENG and Digital Cine camera systems and non‐linear editing.
* Motion graphics and/or animation skills are desirable but not essential.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Creative Services team creates video, audio, print and digital publications that positively impact the health and healthcare experiences of children and young people. They give confidence to families and share wisdom with the community. And they help health professionals provide the best, safest care to children and young people.
