The Role Due to an existing Payroll Team Leader heading on MAT leave in a few months, the business is after someone to step into their role on a 15-month FTC basis. The role will lead a team of 4 direct reports who are responsible for the processing of the business payroll to do with their national retail footprint (high volume), heavily interpreting the General Retail Award. Key Responsibilities Reporting into the National Payroll Manager, you will take on the more complicated aspects of the retail payroll. This will include but not be limited to: Leading a team of 4 direct reports, managing day to day workflow and ensuring deadlines are delivered Interpretation of General Retail Award Ensure fortnightly processing is completed for their retail workforce (8000 employees) Provide back up and support to the National Payroll Manager when it comes to payroll reconciliations, EOFY matters and other AD HOC tasks Act as the first point of contact for escalated payroll queries, providing sound solutions in a timely manner About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Hands-on team leader experience Experience interpreting the General Retail Award Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Strong analytical and problem solving ability A great attitude!
