Aboriginal Health Liaison Officer (AHLO) - Casual Position
Casual Aboriginal Health Liaison Officers work as and when required, covering leave periods and occasional work. The role involves working with Aboriginal people, their families and carers, and members of the health care team to provide culturally sensitive services.
The AHLO will spend time with patients, help them communicate with health professionals, support them in understanding medical procedures, and assist them in making decisions about their care. They will also link patients to appropriate community health organisations or services and contribute to health activities that promote cultural healing.
